Hello, my name is Dale Richardson and I am running for Washoe County School Board of  Trustee.  I am seeking this position because I want to sustain the many excellent programs offered in our school system.  I would also like to explore opportunities to implement progressive technology and educational programs that will benefit our children. I want to expand successful programs from individual high performing schools to all schools. When every dollar is precious, we need to spend wisely to ensure that we continue to provide the best education possible to our children.

I am a retired police officer and I have personal experience with the negative factors that influence student achievement.  I will make it a priority that our schools provide a safe learning environment for our children that is free of violence, drugs, harassment and bullying.  I am the parent of two children in the school district and committed to assuring our schools succeed in meeting every child’s needs.
